Our programs are designed to address specific academic, social and career barriers that affect youth and their families.


EDGE/100 Fellows

EDGE is designed to increase a student's potential for success, both in and beyond high school, through academic, social and career preparation. Targeting high school seniors and juniors, it is about providing them with exposure to people and places they may not have access to otherwise.

GET $MART teaches families financial management concepts through classroom instruction and hands-on application.

The Parent's Edge program is designed to increase parental involvement in the educational development of their high school students.

STEM Academy
STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering, Math. The Urban League STEM Academy is designed to prepare students to compete in a global marketplace. The program promotes effective and relevant learning connections between STEM classroom learning and STEM career pathways. The program offers academic support in the areas of math and science, and provides a strong emphasis on postsecondary education.


Verizon Community IT Program (HTML/Web Design)
The Verizon Community IT program is a special partnership between the Urban League of Greater Dallas and Verizon that provides high school students with a platform to learn, develop, and implement real-life technology projects. The signature course of the program is HTML/Web Design, where students learn the fundamental concepts of HTML coding and are able to deliver a basic web site, complete with media content.
