Achievement Matters is Here!!!

Celebrate Achievement with us at the

2010 ACHIEVEMENT MATTERS AWARDS LUNCHEON

This is the time when we recognize outstanding program participants and volunteers for a job well done over the 2009/2010 program year. We also take time to say "Thank You" to our generous program sponsors who made this year's activities possible.

The luncheon is at no cost to you. It is symbolic of our appreciation for your support and participation in our programs.

Parent's Edge

The Parent's Edge program is designed to increase parental involvement in the educational development of their high school students.

The PARENT’S EDGE program provides key information and support to parents so that, working with the schools, they can be effective advocates for their children.

Through the PARENT’S EDGE program, parents learn how to
1. understand and track student learning
2. prepare for their student’s next step after high school
3. work with the school to get the best education for their student

When parents are involved in their child’s education, students show increased motivation, better attendance, less drug/alcohol activity, better grades, higher graduation rates and higher rates of going to college.
