On April 25, our students participated in a weed and seed, community beautification effort with the West Dallas Weed and Seed organization.  The purpose of this event was to challenge and impress upon the EDGE/100 Fellows participants the importance of giving back to the community and all of the benefits that come with doing so (personal and societal).

April 25th was Global Youth Service Day and it also coincided with some Earth Day activities all over the planet.  With their participation in this global effort, our youth experienced an even greater sense ownership of their world, which will translate into more personal empowerment.

We would like to thank our volunteers from Citigroup for making this event even more meaningful for our group.  They dove in with both hands (literally) and supported our students in their efforts to give back.
